This badge is no longer working because the CI workflow does not run
directly on the `main` branch. Instead the Release workflow runs, and CI
is part of that. We could make the badge reference this workflow
instead, but the badge is now somewhat redundant as check statuses are
easily available from the Actions tab on GitHub. This is different than
when badges originally became popular and only third-party CI (eg.
Travis) was available.

Using the "production" environment for the job results in a prompt for
approval, which we only want to happen for the actual production
release. Using the default environment should allow this job to execute
automatically after the production client release.

The secret used by this job has been migrated from being an environment
secret to a repository secret.

This is unused since the move from Jenkins to GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

The export of this CommonJS module is not a function any more. We
currently don't have an explicit dependency on the semver package but
get it as a transitive dependency of other packages. We should probably

Fill in the steps to trigger the update-client workflow in the
browser-extension repository after a new client version is released.

The GITHUB_TOKEN that actions get by default is scoped to the current
repo, so a different one is required for cross-repository workflow
triggers. There was a discussion around which user or app the token
should be associated with, see [1].
